Pre and Post Natal Gymnastics is a gymnastics designed for pregnant women or women who have given birth. Doing physical activity can be useful to better face physical and physiological changes during pregnancy and to recover and regain physical fitness after childbirth. These are low-intensity workouts and aerobic activities, which involve minimal effort, so as not to subject the body to any type of stress or risk of injury. It includes exercises such as Pilates, Yoga, swimming or Kegel exercises to promote the health and well-being of a woman, throughout the pre-natal period and even after childbirth. It must always be performed under the supervision of a qualified professional.
Pre and Post Natal Gymnastics can be practiced by all pregnant women, except in particular situations such as high-risk pregnancies and after consulting their doctor.
